I hope I don't get sick and layed down for two hours. Sounds good sundaes and movies. How about popcorn too. ? left you a one to one and I hope for hot days. I know people who sweat during the winter and eat ice cubes. I wish I ran warm in a good way..

in response to larand22...   You are welcome and your are right out of your hands and in God's hands. Take care and good luck.. I know when I moved I threw, gave away and left behind many things which really hurt but they are objects which I will not be able to take with me when I leave the earth..
Keep on trying is the best we can do.

in response to larand22...   I know it is a shame and I have called the governor and wrote his office. People on this site don't have the money to help and some work part times jobs or few full time or on disability.
Do you have any friends who can hold things for you? Right now I have a friend whose family is losing a 3 bedroom home and have to get rid of things pronto . It sucks. Try modestneeds etc in links I gave you and wishuponahero.com all you can get is a yes or no.
I wish I could help more but can't sorry.

Hi char6 Pomona is part of the San Gaberial Valley where I grew up and live and we reside in Los Angeles County in Southern California and few have resources to help us.

Hi, I can understand how its hard where you are to get any help, Pomona is so small they must have really limited resources..I have lived in Modesto for years and still work there but we have more services there...are you closer to Modesto or Merced? they are both bigger than Pomoma and may be able to help with shelter services until your work starts again. I volunteerred at Modesto Gospel Mission, one of the few places exlcusively for single men to help..if your interested or have to have a safe, warm place then this is an option..im not familiar with Merced area but can also research if thats closer to you. I hope this helps..

in response to larand22...   I agree with you as I live in CA and there is no help for me a single person who is older as even the Jocelyn center can't help out. I went there two summers ago waited in line only to be told out of funds the state was and that was to be for $400 bucks. I was ticked that they couldn't have said that over the phone. I gave you some links to try and all they can say is no. Modestneeds said no to me two times and grantedwish is a one shot deal no help for me there to help with rent or anything.

Well that doesn't make any sense. Being a single man should exclude you from getting the help you need. If you haven't done so already, try the link above and see if the United Way can help you. Also, have you tried asking any local churches in your area for help?
